Definition: [idiomatic - out of earshot (of somebody/something) ] Being too far away to hear somebody/something or to be heard.

1. Not deliberate (connect to #6).

2. Not desired to be far away in space.

3. There is a capacity to get closer to speaker or listener.

4. The echo, if any, from what is said, cannot get to listener.

5. Scream or shout cannot be heard from the position of listener/hearer (connect to #4).

6. Transmitters and other electronic devices cannot cover distance or are not installed to help deliver sound.

7. There is a desire to hear what is being said.

8. A loss occurs or losses accrue from not hearing what is being said.

9. What is said but not heard is not claimed as having been heard and nothing is therefore told to another person later (to emphasize).
