DYSFUNCTION (2)

Definition: (medical) If someone has a physical dysfunction, part of their body is not working properly.

1. Part is in its natural and complete form - not a prosthesis or one that had gone under the surgeon's scalpel.

2. The person's mental state or psychological condition will not be affected by situation - no moodiness, etc.

3. An alternative method of achieving what needs to be accomplished with the use of body part can be developed.

4. Some physical loss or practical inconvenience will be suffered or experienced from lack of full functionality.

5. Part will not be considered as an indispensable one. That is, the person will not believe that life depends on part.

6. Situation can and would be explained to 'half-human'. And what will be explained will not be beyond the person's ken.

7. A remedial action (= reconstructive surgery, hormone replacement therapy, etc.) can be done to rectify the situation.

8. (Reserved.) (A removal or an excision, etc. of the part will not affect the functionality of body, i.e. would not make matters worse.)
