| DUNCE Definition: (old-fashioned) A person, especially a child at school, who is stupid or slow to learn. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Person's or child's development is (assumed to be) normal. 2. What is being explained or taught is or should not ordinarily be beyond the comprehension of person or child. _________________________________________________________ PUT-DOWN OR BULLIED ? BAD COMPANY ? LAZINESS ? 3. No support or supervision is offered or available. That is, appropriate help is not rendered in respect of task, homework, extra lessons, etc., especially during free periods, vacation, etc. 4. Person or child is not adequately loved and is therefore not properly encouraged by colleagues, friends, family, teachers, etc. 6.
