| DULLNESS (6) Definition: The quality of being slow in understanding. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. All the inputs (= statistics, data, information, etc.) needed to aid a quick understanding are available to learner. 2. Inputs are complete, correct and plain, not incomplete, wrong or obscurantist. 3. No impediments or encumbrances in respect of time and space. That is, period, situation or environment is conducive for quick comprehension. 4. Support, help, assistance, etc. requested or required, in terms of tools, equipment, demonstration, etc. is rightly and timely provided. 5. Person is assumed to be in the right frame of mind - not drunk, sleepy or drowsy, not with a mental or health challenge, etc., that can slow or impede understanding. 6. Serious losses of time, missed opportunities, a disadvantage, depletion of resources, etc. occur in the situation. 7. Everything has to be spelled out for the person: the basics, 'bit by bit', ... its ABCs! And where required, person is practically or physically assisted to achieve an appreciation!! (Connect to #8.) 8. (Slow) understanding will be achieved eventually, either in the nick of time or when it is too late! 9. No sanction is suffered by dullard.
