Or emotive response can be suppressed in the situation. 4. Situation demanded a 'blandness' or inaction. That is, there is a basis for muted reaction, if any: anger, surprise or shock, confusion, environment, status/rank, etc. 5. Expectation in the situation was not unfulfilled. That is, no real loss arises from 'dullness'. 6. Lasts for the duration of event or occasion. That is, normal state can be resumed later, after the happening or do. 7.
