| DROPOUT (1) Definition: A person who leaves school or college before they have finished their studies. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Leaves based on a valid, justifiable reason - health/medical, financial/sponsorship, academic performance, etc., ... not sent out of school or college due to indiscipline! 2. Learned or gained some education or knowledge, in the school or college, before falling by the wayside. 3. Cannot or does not get back to another school or college to try to continue and finish studies. 4. Has a determination or desire to make up for deficiency or lack of appropriate educational qualification(s). (Connect to #3 & #6.) 5. Person suffers a great loss as a result of leaving school or college without graduating. 6. Does something positive with the limited knowledge acquired before leaving school.
