| DROP SHOT Definitions: i. (in tennis) A soft hit that makes the ball land on the ground without bouncing much. ii. (racket games) A shot which causes the ball or shuttlecock to drop sharply after it has cleared the net. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary for the player of shot. 2. Ball or shuttlecock lands on right part of ground. 3. Racket, bat, wrist won't be damaged as a result. 4. Clearance will be thorough - net cord is not hit. 5. Achieves goal(s), only if ball, etc. is not properly played back across the net, or if returned, gives an advantage to who played shot.
