| DRESSING-UP Definition: When children play at dressing-up, they put on special or different clothes and pretend to be different people. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to have fun. 2. Clothes are owned or used with the permission of the owner(s). 3. Items that will be worn will be clean and neat, unless the role to be played requires some dirty, rough or untidy clothes. 4. 'Play' will be supervised by adults, parents, etc. (Connect to #5.) 5. Actions will be make-believe, no acts involving a 'real' role-play. 6. Time used for play will not be that meant for a more serious task. 7. Fun continues or lasts for a reasonable period. (Connect to #6.) 8. Activities achieve objective(s) for all the children involved. 9.
