| DRAUGHTBOARD Definition: (British English) A board with black and white squares, used for playing draughts/checkers. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (see definition). 2. Necessary to have board instead of using some other means. 3. Size or dimension is appropriate - not too big to be difficult to move or carry. 4. Shape is correct - square, not triangular or rectangular. 5. Has only two or a maximum of three colours, cleanly painted on the squares (to emphasize, see definition). 6. Weight is appropriate - not too heavy to be carried around. That is, made of the right material(s). 7. Clean and neat. And with the paints dry - not causing a dirt for the players or disfiguring the surface it is placed on. 8.
