| DRAIN (4) Definition: [ a ~ on somebody/something ] A thing that uses a lot of the time, money, etc. that could be used for something else. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Thing has a purpose (connect to #2). 2. Considered more important than the other thing that time, money, etc. could have been used for. 3. No unplanned loss arises in the situation. 4. The other thing that could have taken time, money, etc. ends up unattended to. 5. Benefit, gain, profit, etc. that would be got from thing is considered better than what the alternative use of time, money, etc. would have provided. 6. Time, money, etc. is not exhausted by the thing. That is, some remainder of a period or resources will still be available after deployment or expenditure on the selected thing. 7. Thing on which time, money, etc. is spent provides the gain or service expected. (Connect to #5.) 8.
