| DOWNSWING (2) Definition: (in golf) The downward movement of a club when a player is about to hit the ball. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary (see definition). 2. Flows smoothly. That is, downwards movement is continuous, once it starts, from top to bottom, without a pause. 3. Ends at hitting the ball, with or without a follow-through. That is, ball will not be missed. 4. Does not result in an injury such as a slipped disc, dislocation, sprain, etc. for golfer. 5.
