| DOWNSTAIRS Definition: The lower floor of a house or building, especially the one at ground level. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Easily descended to, or ascended from, by stairs, lift or escalator, etc. 3. Neat, clean and tidy, whatever is in the floor, however spacious. 4. Safe, secured and appropriately protected, whatever is in the surroundings. 5. Functional, that is, rooms, spaces, etc. are usable/useful. 6. Properly or adequately equipped, unless the design is to have the floor bare (connect to #5). 7. Built in accordance with the approved building designs. That is, situated on a solid foundation, has strong pillars, columns, beams, etc., and with a strong decking. (To emphasize.) 8. Will not need to be remodelled/redesigned in the immediate future.
