| DOUBLE-CROSS Definition: The playing of a trick on, or an act of cheating, somebody who is trusted (usually in connection with something illegal or dishonest). ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary, by trickster or cheat, to be disloyal or unfaithful. (See perfect DISHONESTY.) 2. The trust, before a betrayal, was believed complete and total (to emphasize). [See perfect DISLOYALTY (1).] 3. Executed solely. That is, trick, etc. is conceived and perpetrated by one person/party, without a third party involvement. (See perfect DISTRUST.) 4. A great loss occurs in the situation for the betrayed. (See perfect DISUSE.) 5. 'Double-crosser' is not caught and punished by the law. And the betrayed does not or cannot take vengeance. (See perfect DOUBLE BLUFF.) 6. Gain or benefit or bad behaviour is sustained or retained for duration hoped for by the trickster/cheat. [See perfect DESIRE (1).] 7. Person cheated or tricked is exposed to some danger, in addition to the serious loss. [See perfect DISTRESS (1).] 8. Broken trust or reliability placed on cheat, etc. cannot easily be rebuilt or regained. [See perfect DAMAGE (1).] _______________ DAMN !!
