| DISTINCTION (5) Definition: A special mark/grade or award that is given to somebody, especially a student, for excellent work. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Questions, quiz, examination problems, etc. will not be considered, especially by the awardee, as 'cheap'! 3. Efforts put in, during examinations, do not involve cheating or collusion with invigilators, etc. 4. (Reserved.) (Who earned mark/grade or award does not already have a qualification, that is undeclared, which is higher than that for which he/she is being rewarded.) (Connect to #2.) 5. Examiners and/or moderators made no mistake in the marking that led to a high or higher score being ascribed to 'genius'. 6. Compilation of previous marks from tests, cumulative grades, continuous assessment, etc. was correct. 7. Mark/grade can be defended by who gets highest possible score, by way of output, handiwork, etc. 8.
