Definition: The action of trying to stop something.

1. Purposeful (to emphasize).

2. Considered necessary to not let thing continue.

3. Approved or authorized, as necessary.

4. Method applied does not include an illegality.

5. Thing can put up a resistance. Or thing will attempt to continue, in spite of efforts aimed at stopping it (to emphasize).

6. No unplanned loss arises from the attempt.

7. Action is commenced timely and achieves objective(s), however long it takes, and whatever is gained from stoppage.

8. Action is not regretted later.
