| DIOCESE Definition: (in the Christian Church) A district for which a Bishop is responsible. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in ! 1. Bishop in charge is not wishing or lobbying or praying to be transferred. (Though cannot refuse to leave district, especially if it is on a 'dry land'!) __________________________ a. Purpose of being clergy - salvation, salvation, salvation - of the congregation, can be served in district. b. No likelihood or a reduced number of parishes in the district. c. The priests, pastors, ministers, etc. under command are not sources or causes of embarrassment to Christendom/Christianity. d. The number in congregation will increase, not decrease, with each passing service (day!). e. The plate (= collection!) is always full at every church service or activity or 'bazaar'. f. Court (= the bishop's residence) is luxurious, comfortable, convenient. g. Responsibilities can be and are easily and effectively discharged. h. Temptation from Jezebels, Devil worshippers, etc. is non-existent in district. That is, person of other religions within district are not too 'powerful' (= devilish) for Bishop to cope with.
