| DIEHARD Definition: A person who is strongly opposed to change and new ideas. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to be one who does not reconcile. 2. Completely satisfied with present situation (connect to #6). 3. Does not listen attentively to suggestions, or when he/she listens, never agrees, or does not bow to superior argument. 4. Will be ready to damn all the possible consequences of strong will. But will not do a thing that is illegal in opposing new proposed introductions, if and when they happen. 5. Understands fully, though never appreciates the changes, reforms, etc. proposed or effected. 6. Fixed in old, rigid ways; not flexible or pliable. That is, never makes an adjustment, readjustment or shifts position. 7. Satisfied with stubbornness and/or unwillingness, whether or not a gain or loss accrues therefrom. 8. Does not pay a price, or lose a thing, in his or her own estimation, in the course of opposing proposed new change and idea. ______________________ DOES NOT 'DIE'. | |
