| DIALOGUE (2) Definition: A formal discussion between two groups or countries, especially when they are trying to solve a problem, end a disagreement, etc. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (connect to #2). 2. Considered a necessity to discuss issue(s). _____________________ NOT A MONOLOGUE. 3. Problems are specific and identified, and areas of disagreement are known for certain. 4. Terms or basis on which talks will hold are established before commencement of discussion. That is, terms of reference, protocols, procedures, etc. are firm. __________________________________________ NOT A SHOUTING MATCH OR DIATRIBE ! 5. Representatives are the selected, elected or rightly chosen ones. 6. Sessions commence and ends timely. That is, discussions are organized and administered properly. ________________________ CONVERSATIONS..., 7. Talk is moderated by third party/parties or by selected combination of members of both of or all the groups. (To emphasize.) 8. Talk is concluded, however long it takes, not endless formalities. ___________________________ NOT AT CROSS PURPOSES. 9.
