| DETECTION (1) Definition: The process of detecting something; the fact of being detected. ______________________________________________________________________ * All thirteen elements should be in. * This is on the process, not the fact. 1. There is a realization of a loss, absence, disappearance or misplacement of particular thing. 2. Purposeful to begin process of recovery (connect to #3). 3. Considered a necessity to find or rediscover thing. 4. Decision to look for thing is taken. 5. Tools, equipment, time, the wherewithal, etc. necessary to help in detecting thing are collected and/or secured. 6. Strategy or procedure, plan and preparation, readiness, etc. to try to find thing is established. 7. Search, excavation, enquiries, investigation, etc. to try and find thing is conducted appropriately or 'professionally'. 8. Thing is recognized on being seen, heard, smelled, tasted or touched or when a spiritual contact is made with it. And the danger, if any, in discovering thing is adequately taken care of. 9. A valid confirmation of the correctness or genuineness of discovered thing is undertaken. 10. Possession, retention, enclosure or capture, etc. of the thing, where desired, is achieved for appropriate period of time. 11. No unplanned loss arises during the process - whether this can be recouped, is irreplaceable or not (connect to #8). 12. Act serves purpose(s) - that is, thing is used, displayed, studied, replaced, released, sold, retained, etc. as hoped for. 13. Thing is/was timely found.
