Definitions:

1. The cause or causes of feeling is/are known - specific and identifiable, measurable and/or assessable.

2. The attempts or efforts, if any, being made to become happier or hopeful will not be succeeding or successful.

3. No likely positives will be in, or arise from, the situation. That is, no understanding will be shown by others, that will result in a better or brighter mood.

4. Dangers, losses, disappointments, being dispirited, disaffection, despair, retrogression, etc. will be the main happenings in situation.

5. There will be no silver lining in the clouds. That is, end of/to agony will not be in sight.

6. Feeling is like, will be, lasting forever. That is, no intervention can shorten the duration that negatives will subsists.

7. (Reserved.) (Desire for who is experiencing hardship will be for a change or positive turnaround, some benefit, advantage, profit, gain, etc. That is, no thought of suicide, self-harm, etc. will exist in the situation.)

8. Feeling cannot be suppressed or disguised. That is, nothing can be done (talk) or taken (drugs) or drank (alcohol) or received (gift) or eaten (delicacy), etc. to bring a temporary happiness or some faint hope (to emphasize).

9. Will end, through a solution or the passage of time, at a moment when or after much pain would have been suffered.
