| DEMURRAGE (1) Definition: The payment made to a shipowner by the charterer for exceeding the time allowed for loading or unloading. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary, even if only from shipowner's position. 2. Arrangement was entered in the terms and conditions of contract. 3. Goods on board ship will not be damaged as a result of a delay. 4. Amount won't be so much as to be borne to the final customers. 5. The sum is calculated correctly and will also be paid timely. 6.
