| DELUSION (2) Definition: The act of believing or making yourself believe something that is not true. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be truly in. 1. Purposeful and necessary (?) to 'fool' yourself. That is, you are in a proper frame of mind at the time, even if others know that you do not know what you are doing. (IT CAN'T BE A LIE.) 2. The actual fact(s), reality or realities is/are known by you, or is/are available to you, and can be seen or found out by any and every other normal person. (IT IS NOT INCORRECT.) 3. You expect to secure a gain, benefit, an advantage, etc. from situation. (Connect to #6.) (NOTHING BAD IN/WITH/ABOUT IT?) 4. Your action conveys your belief. That is, things that you will or will not do, as a result of 'conviction' will be 'wayward and misleading'. (To emphasize.) (IT'S VERY OK.) 5. Loss that will be suffered, as a direct fallout of self-delusion, will be enormous, whether admitted or not, and even if this regret is not immediately on believing falsehood. (NOTHING AT ALL CAN GO WRONG.) 6. Affords an escape from a troubling matter, momentarily, or brings a temporary closure to a disturbing issue. (I KNOW, ... I TOLD YOU.) 7. You will ask no second opinion, seek no advice, listen to no counsel, etc. while in cloud-cuckoo-land. (HURRAY!) 8. Great regret will be had, when reality dawns.
