| DELAY (1) Definition: A period of time when somebody/something has to wait because of a problem that makes something slow or late. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Not planned, therefore unexpected and/or unprepared for. 2. Purposeful, whether this is appreciated or not. 3. No unplanned loss will arise from slowness or lateness. 4. Problem is identifiable and/or will be identified. 5. Problem can and will be solved/fixed, as a result or afterwards. 6. Nothing dangerous happens and no illegality is engaged in during the time (to emphasize). 7. Period of wait is specific and identifiable, not an endless or unending duration (connect to #5). 8. Thing that needed to be done can still be continued or resumed, whether it is finally concluded or abandoned before a finish. 9.
