| DEFENSIVE DRIVING Definition: (informal) The act of handling a moving car or vehicle in a manner believed to protect the driver and its occupants from serious harm. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary in the opinion of who drives defensively. 2. Takes place while having the senses working in excellent condition. 3. Initiative and advantage will always be with the driver concerned... not too close ! 4. Road rage won't happen, apology not rendered throughout the period. 5. Car or vehicle being driven, won't be damaged as a direct outcome. 6. Other road users are inconvenienced as a result of 'offensiveness'... always anticipating. 7. Some losses - delay, worry, etc. - will be suffered by the others. 8. Traffic rules and regulation are obeyed in the course of 'madness'. 9.
