| DEFENDER (4) Definition: (sports) The holder of a championship or other title, defending it against the challenger. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Earned belt of crown in the 'battle field'. That is, fought and attained victory before becoming the holder. 2. Did not 'pick and choose' the opponent. That is, does not dodge a particular person to fight the challenger. 3. Trained properly and was fully prepared for contest. 4. Not using banned substances and/or anabolic steroid. 5. Conducts activity within the rules of the game. That is, won't apply any underhand tactic to gain an advantage. 6. Puts in the best efforts to win. That is, proudly protects crown, especially if able to successfully defend title. 7. Fights to 'the end' - won't surrender unjustifiably. 8. Can be magnanimous afterwards, in victory or defeat.
