DEFAULTER (1)

Definitions:

i. A person who fails to what they legally have to do, especially not paying a debt.

ii. Someone who fails to carry out an obligation, e.g. failure to appear in court when required, or fails to pay a debt.

1. Has an awareness of the need to be present or pay up, etc.; cannot claim ignorance (see perfect CONTEMPT OF COURT).

2. Denies ability or capability to be present or to repay, even if this is an obvious lie; no deliberateness (see perfect DEBT (2)).

3. Has no justification for failure (inability). Or excuse, if any, is unacceptable; no cock and bull stories (see perfect DEBT (3)).

4. Could have done or attempted to do more to keep side of bargain; no foolish pride (see perfect PERSEVERANCE).

5. Pays a price or suffers some sort of loss, etc. as a result of defaulting; no mercy (see perfect PUNISHMENT (1)).

6. Learns from 'error'. That is, will do all that is legally possible not to be in same situation another time; no rejoicing (see perfect REGRET).
