Decree absolute
DECREE ABSOLUTE

Definitions:

i. (British English, law) An order from a court that finally ends a marriage, making the two people divorced.

ii. The final order made by a court in a divorce case which ends a marriage completely.

1. Purposeful and necessary, particularly so in law.

2. Proceeds from a decree nisi issued earlier by same court.

3. Marriage would have been lawfully contracted. (To emphasize.)

4. Issued timely or promptly and in the presence of all both partners.

5. Judge who signs or signed order will not benefit from the divorce.

6. Order serves purpose(s). That is, the persons divorced by court will not get together, again, as a married couple, in the future.
