Definition: A person who makes somebody to have a wrong idea about somebody/something.

1. Person has a purpose and considers it necessary to mislead.

2. Has or knows for sure what the right idea about person/thing is (to emphasize).

3. Presents or portrays a situation, person or thing as original, genuine, real, etc. That is, speech and/or acts/actions is/are believable and convincing, leaving no room for reservations, etc.

4. Act or action aimed at misleading the unwary is done timely, to help achieve the desired effect.

5. Person will or does not physically participate in the act or action that is designed to mislead. Therefore, possibility of a serious loss, injury, etc. is remote for 'con' or 'trickster'.

6. An antidote (= solution?) is possessed by the person, in case something negative or dangerous has to be endured or done to achieve the goal(s).

7. Bait is taken - sinker, line and hook! - by the party that will be mislead.

8. Mischief serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s).

9. Deceit is or will be found out sooner or later.
