DAWN RAID (2)

Definition: (business) If a person or company carries out a dawn raid, they try to buy a large number of a company's shares at the start of a day's trading, especially because they want to buy the whole company.

1. Purposeful to buy large number of shares. (See definition.)

2. Considered a necessity to make acquisitions (connect to #1).

3. Company that is target of 'raid' would have been correctly valued.

4. Share price, not the issue price, will be considered worthwhile.

5. Amount of stock that will be bought, per raid, will be adequate.

6. Arrangement will be in place, for a proper 'take-off' afterwards.

7. Shares bought will not be resold to any other, at whatever price.

8. Acquisitions will eventually be enough to take over company.

9. Purchase will achieve goal(s), whatever this/these is/are.
