| DAMAGE (3) Definition: (usually - damages) An amount of money that a court decides should be paid to somebody by the person, company, etc. that has caused them harm or injury. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered necessary in court's opinion. 2. Legal. That is, court has jurisdiction and authority to impose this particular type of punishment. 3. Amount awarded is not nullified, reduced or increased, by a higher court, on appeal. 4. (Reserved.) (Sum does not render payer bankrupt or ruin finances.) 5.
