Definition: [ ~ (to something) ] Physical harm caused to something which makes it less attractive, useful or valuable.

1. Purposeful, even if this is unappreciated.

2. Considered necessary to physically harm thing.

3. Nature or extent of harm is proper. That is, no collateral damage occurs in the situation. And thing still has some attractiveness, usefulness or worth. In other words, the harm caused will be minimal !

4. Repairs, amendments, corrections, rebuilding or reconstruction, etc. can be effected on thing harmed, etc.

5. Costs or restoration will not be prohibitive. And no regret(s) afterwards as an outcome of the act (connect to #4).

6. Thing can be restored to the condition it was previously in. That is, harm is not long-lasting or permanent.

7. Physical harm serves purpose(s), especially if man-made.
