| CULTURAL AWARENESS Definition: The understanding of the differences between somebody and other persons from other countries or other backgrounds, especially differences in attitudes and values. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to understand and be aware. 2. Own culture and values are well known and fully understood. 3. Nothing illegal or immoral or offensive will be done in trying to perpetuate own standards, opinions, etc. or in displaying own culture and values. 5. A willingness or readiness to learn and, if necessary, to adapt the others' point of views (= behaviour and considerations) will be present in situation. 6.
