Inescapable or unavoidable at the particular point in time. 2. You have a stance or position concerning the issue at stake. 3. You are unable to take a side or participate in the argument. Or your support will be rebuffed and contribution won't be acknowledged. 4. Getting 'involved' or being present will inevitably lead to a huge loss for you, whether as an argument is ongoing or some time later. 5.
