CRITICISM (3)

Definition: A spoken or written judgment concerning a matter resting on opinion.

* All seven elements above the line should be in.


1. Purposeful and necessary.

2. Constructive and reasonable (?).

3. Contains only facts and truths - these may not be known until much later.

4. Given promptly and timely.

5. Directed or given, one-on-one, to the thing or person being judged, not through a third party.

6. Must provide a 'better' or an alternative option, in the view of the critic, and it should be stated as so.

7. The alternate 'road' that the critic may advise be taken, would not, ordinarily, directly or indirectly, benefit him or her, in the short, medium or long term.
