| CRISIS MANAGEMENT Definition: (business) A management style that concentrates on solving the immediate problems occurring in a business rather than looking for long-term solutions. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. * Act decisively, no premature talk. 1. Purposeful and necessary, to use particular style, to have immediate problems sorted out (see perfect QUICK FIX). 2. Justifiable and/or defensible to pay attention to only the immediate problems (see perfect RISK MANAGEMENT). 3. Outlay in respect of resources, labour, etc., and financial costs will be relatively minimal. (see perfect QUIDS). 4. New risk, danger, threat, etc. will not be created and an unplanned loss will not be suffered as a direct outcome (see perfect SHORT-TERMISM). 5. Time and space that will be taken to solve problems will be considered as the barest minimum needed (see perfect PROBLEM-SOLVING). 6. Solution proffered will be effective, even as this lasts for only a limited period of time (see perfect QUALITY CIRCLE). 7. There will be an awareness that solution is temporary and planning and preparation will follow to permanently solve problems [see perfect HURRY (2).] 8.
