| COVER STORY (1) Definition: The main story in a magazine, that goes with the picture shown on the front cover. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eleven elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary. 2. Readable, that is, language, length, style, print, etc. will be appropriate for reader(s). 3. Story has no exaggeration (connect to #4). 4. Story contains no half-truths or outright lies. 5. Story is not confusing and no confusion arises out of narrative. 6. Understood or understandable, however cover picture turns out. 7. Balanced and covers the topic/subject from every angle. 8. No follow-up. That is, story, however long or 'juicy', starts and is concluded in one edition/issue. (To emphasize.) 9. Story is read and achieves objective(s), whoever and/or whatever is on front cover. 10. Nothing in magazine is considered as more significant or important by reader (see definition, to emphasize). 11.
