| COVER (1) Definition: A thing that is put over or on another thing, usually to protect it or to decorate it. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements should be in. 1. Purposeful (to emphasize). 2. Necessary to protect or decorate thing. 3. Dimensions - length, breadth, thickness, etc. of thing is exactly as desired. 4. Material used is appropriate, whether this is a cloth, leather, nylon, etc. That is, protection can be and is provided by the thing. In other words, no tear, cut, opening, etc. in the material. 5. Space covered is not less than that required to be protected or decorated. That is, fold, application or spread, etc. is complete. 6. Appearance (= decoration) sought by the use of material is/was achieved and adjudged as 'beautiful'. 7. Thing stays in place for the duration planned or hoped for. 8.
