COUPLE (3)

Definition: Two people who are seen together, especially if they are married or in a romantic or sexual relationship.

1. Purposeful and necessary - the relationship/togetherness/companionship.

2. Union or bond is legal and/or recognized by the members of the families/community/society/public. Not siblings or too closely related!

WHATEVER THEIR AGES. (however the pair met: registry, arranged marriage, match-made, traditional, etc., etc.)



3. 'Co-workers'. That is, both are 'mates', 'colleagues', etc. (no senior or junior partner!), mutually respectful of each other.

4. United. Bonded. That is, duo are very close and live and 'work' as a team. In other words, no person/nothing can come between these two. And, if married, sharing the same room, even if sleeping separately, except ... .

WITH OR WITHOUT OFFSPRING, IF MARRIED. (young, old or middle-aged)



5. Both can, will or do disagree to agree (and agreed to disagree). That is, there will, could or there may be misunderstandings, but these are always inevitably amicably resolved within themselves. (What unforgivable transgression(s)? What past?)

6. The two are 'coupled'! That is, pair is jointly independent, doubly contended, collectively self-assured or relaxed, protective of each other, etc. In other words, no member of this 'team' is thinking of a (trial) separation, an elopement, a divorce, etc.

7. Pair are 'role models', especially for other couples or aspiring couples-to-be (But what do these 'outsiders' really know?) (connect to #5 & #6).

8. Purpose of being paired or being a pairing is served - until or unless death do them part!
