Purposeful and necessary (to emphasize). 2. Cannot be deemed as unlawful by referee. 3. Harder than that one being responded to. 4. Much harder than the last punch given (if applicable). 5. Given quickly, before a count of blows received mount. 6. Not giving while exposed to counter-attack. 7. Serves purpose(s) or achieves objective(s). 8.
