| COUNCIL OF WAR (1) Definitions: i. (British English) A meeting to discuss how to deal with an urgent or difficult situation. ii. (formal) A meeting that is held in order to decide how a particular threat or emergency should be dealt with. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements should be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity. 2. Summoned or called timely by the right authority. 3. All the right members, who are knowledgeable enough, will be invited and honour summons, and participate fully in deliberations. 4. Attenders get the relevant briefings, presentations, etc. needed. 5. Decisions will be arrived at in session; no delay or postponement. 6. Decisions that will be reached, will be binding on all and these will be carried out expeditiously, on being given the wherewithal, by the person(s) responsible for executing order(s). 7. (Reserved.) (The group remains in place, ready for another meeting, until threat or emergency is no more real and present.) 8. Some representative(s) or the leader(s) or head(s), of the people that will have to confront actual threat or deal with a real emergency will be asked to be observer(s) at sitting, and to contribute, if necessary, to discussions during deliberations.
