Consideration for other people without any thought of self as a principle of conduct. ______________________________________________________________________ * All five elements would be in. 1. Altruist is not related to the beneficiaries. Not closely or even distantly connected. 2. Not in or near-same social, racial, religious grouping or class, etc. with the other(s). 3. A great 'loss' is incurred or a serious sacrifice is made, by the act of the one considering other people. 4. What is or was lost as a result of the consideration, can not be regained.
