Definition: (law) The basic fact or facts establishing that a crime or offense has actually been committed.

f. Admissible in court - what technicality ? - not time-barred.

g. Cannot really need to be corroborated.

h. Presented or presentable, by whoever, whenever (see 'e' & 'f').

i. Not the confession (that could be denied).

j. Serves purpose(s), but, only if and when a conviction is secured.
