| CONTRAINDICATION Definitions: i. (medical) A possible reason for not giving somebody a particular drug or medical treatment. ii. (medical) Contraindications are specific medical reasons for not using a particular treatment for a medical condition in the usual way. iii. Or the end result of a treatment will bring new unwanted complications. 5. Drug or treatment has not been finally, officially approved. Or new doubts have been raised about the efficacy of drug or method. 6. Case history reveals information about an ineffectiveness. Or a test, clinical trial or experiment indicates a likelihood of failure. 7. The patient knows what a placebo effect is!
