| ABSENTMINDEDNESS Definition: (US) Preoccupied and for that reason not paying attention to what one is doing. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements would be in. 1. Not deliberately and cannot be planned. 2. 'Purposeless' and unnecessary. 3. Remembers or 'knows' nothing, afterwards, of what is being done at the particular instance. 4. Something very valuable or precious will be lost by the distraction or loss of concentration. 5. What is lost, while distracted, can not be regained even after attention is restored back to the thing being done. 6.
