| CONDOLENCE (1) Definition: Sympathy that you feel for somebody when a person in their family or that they know well has died; an expression of this sympathy. ______________________________________________________________________ * All ten elements should be in. * (#1-#5 for a feeling, #6-#10 for an expression.) 1. Necessity in your opinion to sympathize, whether loss (= death) is deserved or not! 2. There is a certainty that person who is believed deceased, is dead. 3. Something is foregone, by the person commiserating, during the period or moment (to emphasize). That is, the 'mourner' (= you!) is (are) not a paid, 'professional crier'! 4. Feeling brings about a desire to help, support, assist, 'defend', etc., as applicable. That is, you have true sympathy. 5. Feeling lasts for a duration considered appropriate in your opinion (connect to #3). ___________ BORNE. 6. Purposeful to let the bereaved know that you are sorry. 7. Timely and promptly shown (to emphasize). 8. Expressed in person, by you, and to the right person(s) directly. 9. Expression is in the right measure - wail, shout(s), scream(s), self-harm, etc. and this/these is/are not louder, more or worse than that of the bereaved. 10.
