| CONCISENESS (1) Definition: A situation where only the information that is necessary and important with few words being used, is given. ______________________________________________________________________ * All six elements should be in. 1. Purposeful to 'choose and pick' (to emphasize). 2. Necessity in the situation to be selective and sparse in the use of words/wording. That is, act is done deliberately by speaker or writer. In other words, selectivity and fewness is justifiable in the talker's/writer's opinion. _____________ POMPOUS OR PLAIN, BUT NOT VERBOSE ! (See perfect OVERKILL.) 3. Message, idea, opinion, etc. intended to be communicated is not misunderstood by reader(s)/listener(s)/audience, etc. because of the choices made. That is, words are clearly usable and understandable. 4. Time and space saved by the fewness and restrictiveness is appropriately utilized. _____________ WHATEVER THE OBJECTIVE, ... WHEREVER.
