Comfort zone
COMFORT ZONE

Definition: (usually - the comfort zone) If a person is in the comfort zone, he or she does not work very hard and so does not produce the best possible results.

1. Purposeful, for occupant, to be second best: no confusion.

2. Deliberate or necessary. That is, there is a full awareness that the best effort was not put into endeavour: no guilt.

3. Person does not complain about or envy another, who is ahead as a result of having worked harder: no grudges (to emphasize).

4. Does not spoil or retard someone else's progress, if working in collaboration: no sabotage.

5. There was no legal or compelling encumbrance that prevented person from working harder: no buts (to emphasize, connect to #2).

6. Person is okay with 'achievement'. That is, there is complete satisfaction with standard obtained, or the quality produced. In other words, person is contented: no desire.

7. Will not be praised or paid or compensated, as applicable, as if he or she did or achieved more (to emphasize): no commendation.

8. Person can give out or away, or share with others, some of his or her possessions as will be deemed reasonable by him or her: no lack.

9. Commits no illegality while in this state: no wrong.

10. Person is in the situation for duration hoped or planned for: no anxiety.

11. Impossible to persuade person to do (= achieve) more: no urge for greater success.

12. Person is physically and psychologically comfortable. That is, state of health is excellent and did not contribute to, and does not suffer as an outcome of, the decision to be 'lazy': no regrets or excuses.

13. Objective(s) of being a 'lazybones' or plodder is/are achieved: no need for a reassessment.
