| COME-ON Definition: (informal) An object or action which is intended to attract somebody or to persuade them to do something. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and necessary to use particular object or action. 2. Not a patently disallowed/banned object or illegal/illicit action. 3. Person being lured will have the impression that object or action will not be present/available, displayed/performed for too long after. 4. Thing or act is what has been silently desired or craved for, or has been earlier, clearly requested or pleaded for, whether safe or unsafe, little or much. 5. Not easily possible to secure or have particular object or action from another source. Or/and, alternative will not be anywhere near the quality (and/or quantity) of presented object or action. 6. The expectation or belief, of or by who is being persuaded, will be that object or action can be effectively handled or coped with, if and when secured. 7. Desired benefit, advantage, profit, gain, etc. will be had, only if and when object or action can be secured or had or taken or used. 8. (Reserved.) (Object will be offered unconditionally and action performed fully, or as required, to have the desired effect!) 9. No verbal invitation will be extended, as a 'backup', to who is to be attracted or persuaded.
