| COMBAT FATIGUE Definition: Mental problems caused by being in a war or battle for a long period of time. ______________________________________________________________________ * All eight elements would be in. 1. Problems are specific and identifiable - trauma, nightmares, hallucinations, rage, etc. 2. Stress and destabilized state will continue or lasts for an unnecessarily long period of time. 3. Recalls or recollections will be frequent and be usually of unpleasant war front memories. 4. There will be a constant tendency or temptation to damage, destroy or destruct, self-harm, attack unjustly, etc. 5. Behaviour or attitude will be mostly strange or confusing, frightening, grumpy, hateful, etc. 6. Condition or state is not easily treated (connect to #5 & #8). 7. Person will never have a desire to return to, or have an extension of duty tour in, theatre of operation. 8. Impossible for sufferer to be mentally very normal again. _________________ ... GGRRR !!
