| ALIENATION (2) Definition: The act or process of making somebody feel that they do not belong in a particular group. ______________________________________________________________________ * All nine elements would be in. 1. Purposeful and considered a necessity by who excludes another. 2. No patience will be shown in listening to, explaining to, or discussing with, the 'undesirable' (to emphasize). ___________________ NO GESTURES ... 3. No attempt will be made to physically prevent 'outsider' from joining particular group. That is, prevention or disapproval will not be effected with the use of force. 4. No enthusiasm, liveliness or sprightliness will be shown, by the others - 'the insiders' - if the unwanted person is compelled to participate or be involved in the particular group's activity. 5. Cooperation or alliance, by the others in group, where required, with 'the unwanted', will be restrained or poorly offered. _____________________________ NO PUSHING OR SHOVING ... 6. The positive or beneficial quality or features, if any, of the person disliked, will not be acknowledged or appreciated by all the others in group. 7. The 'insiders' will not defend, support, encourage, etc. the person being treated as an 'undesirable'. ___________________ NO COMMENTS ... 8. The others will not admit, confess, confirm, etc., if or when asked, whether the person being made to feel unwanted is not liked. 9. Act, action, inaction, etc. displayed will not be misconstrued or misinterpreted by the person not wanted, such that intended 'reject' becomes insistent (hoping) on being, or determined (stubborn) to be, admitted or accepted. _______________ ...
